For twenty-seven years, the Willamette University Jazz Festival has brought the leading names in jazz to the Salem area. Renowned for its educational and artistic purposes, the festival brings northwest jazz students together with respected jazz artists.

The Jazz Festival, housed in the Smith Auditorium on the Willamette University campus, features high school bands playing for adjudication throughout the day, and culminates in the evening Festival Concert with the Willamette University Jazz Ensemble, guest high school band and our featured guest artist.
