The MAT program is a field-based programs that prepares teachers to be reflective professionals who are content knowledgeable, student-centered and culturally competent.

The Master of Education program is an inquiry-based degree that personalizes coursework and addresses student's specific area of teaching interest. Offered in a hybrid format - students have choices in what endorsement or seminar series to add to their professional experience. M.Ed. students will complete a total of 36 semester credit hours consisting of 22 core course credits, an 14 credit hours in the endorsement or seminar series.

These programs are intended for licensed teachers with or without a master's interested in adding on to their teaching license. ESOL and Reading courses are offered online and Special Education courses are offered in a classroom setting. Because our programs offer rolling enrollment and are non-cohort based, Willamette's programs are idea for requiring a flexible academic schedule.

The Willamette University Graduate School of Education offers two Administrative programs. The Initial Administrator License Program can ready you to fully enter the dynamic arena of school administration. Our advanced, or Continuing Administrator License Program can significantly enhance your career in educational administration and also paves the way for you to pursue superintendent licensure.
