Transfer and Visiting Applicants

Willamette University College of Law welcomes transfer and visiting students from ABA-accredited law schools.

Admission to Willamette is based largely on the strength of the transfer applicant’s law school grades and class rank, as well as the reasons for the decision to continue legal education at Willamette Law.

How to Apply

Transfer or visiting student applicants for the JD Program should use the transfer/visiting application for admission available through the Law School Admission Council. Indicate status as either transfer or visiting student in the appropriate section of the application. Willamette Law operates on a rolling admissions deadline, meaning that we accept students until our class is full. When possible, we recommend that students apply earlier in the cycle.

Please note, applications will continue to be accepted following the priority deadline so long as there is seat availability. Should you have questions, please contact the Admission Office directly by phone: (503) 370-6282 or by email at law-admissions@willamette.edu.

CAS Electronic Application
