Endorsements

An endorsement is the subject matter (content area) or specialty field in which an individual is licensed to teach. Early childhood, elementary, and middle level all earn a multiple subjects endorsement. Middle level may also earn a specific middle level endorsement in language arts, science, social studies or basic math. High school teachers may teach only in the endorsement area specified on the license.

If you are interested in teaching middle level or high school, use the list below to indicate what subject area you would most like to teach on your application.

Additional endorsement programs are available through the School of Education's Center for Excellence in Teaching (CET) for in-service teachers: ESOL, reading, and special education.
