Student Medical Insurance
All Willamette students students enrolled at least half-time are required to have medical insurance coverage comparable to the plan offered through Willamette's comprehensive Student Health Insurance Plan. Students will automatically be enrolled in the Aetna insurance plan and charged through the student accounts office at the beginning of fall and spring semester. Coverage is for 12 months. Students who have other medical insurance that meets the criteria of comparable coverage may submit an online waiver request each academic year. The process of health insurance purchase and waiver is different for U.S. student and International students.

U.S. students work with the Bishop Health Center for all questions and processes related to purchasing medical insurance.
U.S. students with comparable coverage seeking to waive Willamette's insurance must complete the online waiver between Monday, July 25, 2016 and the deadline of Monday, September 12, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. PDT.
If you waive your enrollment in the Willamette medical insurance plan for Fall Semester 2016, you are choosing to waive for both Fall Semester 2016 and Spring Semester 2017. If you enroll in the Willamette medical insurance plan for Fall Semester 2016, you are also choosing to enroll in the plan for both Fall Semester 2016 and Spring Semester 2017. The opportunity to waive or enroll is only provided during fall semester.
Late enrollment or waiver requests will not be accepted, no exceptions.
