Willamette University's Angel Investment Fund is a unique experiential learning program. MBA students, through three semesters, work to understand the nuances and demands of entrepreneurship as well as the strategies and details involved with investing in them.
MBA students are embedded as active investing members in angel investment groups throughout the Pacific Northwest:
- Evaluating deal flow
- Performing due diligence
- Making investment decisions
Students work with entrepreneurs, business leaders and management teams trying to identify great opportunities in which the Angel Fund invests. The fund works to support between 2 and 4 investments per year, directly into high potential Northwest ventures. Investment decisions are made by the students with the oversight of the Advisory Board.
