Prior to teaching, she practiced administrative law at the Federal Trade Commission in Washington, D.C, criminal law as an assistant county attorney in the Maricopa County, Ariz., and private plaintiffs' antitrust law at Reed, Goldstein and Jenkins-Reed of Phoenix. She received her law degree from Arizona State University College of Law and is a member of the bar in both Oregon and Arizona. She also is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.
