You are all doing great completing your "To Do" lists! Here are three quick and important things to do!
1. Submit Your Time Preferences for Your Data Analysis Lab by 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 4th
Your fall semester "GSM 5103 Data Analysis, Modeling & Decision Making" consists of two required weekly class sessions. One required class session is a 90-minute lecture course that will be held on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The other required weekly class session is a 90-minute lab. There are three lab sections available. You will need to be enrolled in one of these three sections:
- Tuesday 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
- Tuesday 3:00 - 4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.
If you have a preference for which weekly lab section you would like to be enrolled, go to https://agsm.willamette.edu/labprefs/, log-in with your Willamette user name and password. Click on the word "Drop." Then identify your preferences using the pulldown menus. If you have no preference, indicate "no preference."
After you have selected your preferences, click the Submit Preferences button in the last row of the table. We will do our best to give you one of your three preferences. However we cannot guarantee that will be possible in every case.
If you have a preference for your lab time, be sure to complete and submit this form no later than 8:00 a.m. (Pacific Daylight Time) on Tuesday, August 4th. If you do not submit your form by 8:00 a.m Monday, August 4th, we will assume you have "no preference" and we will assign your section. 2. Order Your Professional Name Tag by 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 4th
The Atkinson School arranges for you to have a professional name tag that you will wear during Compass Week and during Career Management Events, Career Fairs and Conferences and Employer Events.
To order your name tag, go to the career management site and submit the online form by 8:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time on Tuesday, August 4th. Be sure to list your name as you would like it to appear on your professional name tag.
If you submit the form by 8:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time, Tuesday, August 4th, you will receive your name tag free of charge (we buy it for you!).
If you do not order a nametag by 8:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time, Tuesday, August 4th, you can still order your name tag at your own expense through the Career Management. The cost is approximately $10.
3. Pronounce Your First and Last Name on Judy O'Neill's Voice Mail By 8:00 a.m., Monday, August 17th
At Atkinson, we like to be sure that your name is pronounced correctly. Every fall semester we make a short recording of each new student pronouncing their first and last name so everyone can hear the correct pronunciation. Please call Judy's voice mail at 503-375-5310 at anytime on a Saturday or Sunday, or after 5:00 p.m. on a weekday. When you get to the voice mail, say: "My name is ____ and my ID number is _____." Then pronounce your first name and last name, slowly, three times. For example, if Judy was making the call she would say, "My name is Judy O'Neill and my ID number is 000000. Judy O'Neill, Judy O'Neill, Judy O'Neill." Please make this call and leave your message before noon on Monday, August 17th.
