George Pohndorf

George Pohndorf has 21 years of experience in the energy industry with an extensive background in utility finance and regulation. George has served in a number of director-level positions at Puget Sound Energy, focusing on enabling the company’s financial and strategic success. This includes leading PSE’s regulatory affairs, energy resource planning, energy efficiency, major customer accounts and external affairs strategies and initiatives. George holds an MBA in finance from the Simon School of Business and has completed executive programs at the Chicago Booth, Stanford and Kellogg graduate schools of business. The Simon School is consistently ranked as one of the top ten finance and economics programs worldwide by the Financial Times.

As PSE’s lead liaison to the Washington Utilities and Transportation commission as well as a broad range of stakeholders, George has many years of experience in addressing complex issues, policy matters and analyses with diverse audiences. George also has done extensive team development in his various leadership roles at PSE. George has served on Board of the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance and currently serves on the Executive Board of the NW Energy Coalition. For more information, see:
