Sukhsimranjit Singh

Associate Director, Center for Dispute Resolution at Willamette University College of Law

Sukh practices, teaches, and trains in dispute resolution. Being Associate Director and law faculty of the nationally recognized Center for Dispute Resolution at Willamette University College of Law, he teaches Arbitration, Cross-Cultural Dispute Resolution, Negotiation, and Mediation Theory and Advocacy. He also teaches Business Negotiations at Atkinson Graduate School of Management, Willamette University. Sukh has mediated cases in the Pacific Northwest, Minnesota, Punjab and New Delhi and has served clients in family, public-sector, commercial, and cross-cultural matters. In 2013, Sukh settled a long-established church dispute in Oregon and consulted with the State of Oregon and Indian Judiciary for cross-cultural trainings and special lectures. With a passion for cross-cultural decision-making, he has lectured or trained lawyers and law students in parts of United States, Europe and Asia.

He is co-chair of American Bar Association's Section of Dispute Resolution-Committee on Associate Issues and has served as Board Member of Oregon Mediation Association and as a Commissioner with Human Rights and Relations Advisory Commission under the City of Salem. Sukh has an LL.M. in Dispute Resolution from University of Missouri-Columbia. Sukh grew up in Punjab, India and enjoys reading about different cultures and fostering inter-faith dialogues in the U.S. and abroad.
