Biography
As the Public Affairs Director for Intel Corporation in the Northwest Region, Jill Eiland is leading the media relations, government relations, and community relations team at Intel’s largest and most complex site anywhere in the world in Washington County. Intel’s Invest in America initiative announced the construction of new development fabs in Hillsboro, where the Company is the anchor tenant in the region’s economy. The Ronler Acres expansion continues, where thousands of construction workers and more than 19,500 Intel employees are employed. Intel has focused on being an asset to its communities for more than 40 years.
Prior to joining Intel in 2006, Eiland was vice president of corporate communications for Knowledge Learning Corporation, the director of government and public relations for KinderCare Learning Centers, and vice president of The Rockey Company. Other prior positions include director of public affairs for Portland General Electric; a principal of Edwards Associates in Washington, D.C.; and on the staffs of U.S. Senator Bob Packwood and the U.S. Senate Budget Committee.
A native Oregonian, Eiland is committed to serving the state’s many communities as a member of numerous boards and commissions, including the Oregon State University Foundation, the Portland Business Alliance, the Oregon Business Association, the Oregon Business Council, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI), the Oregon CTE-STEM Employer Coalition, and vice chair of the Greater Portland Export Council. She has also served as chair of Portland Community College’s Foundation Board, on the Oregon Workforce Development Board, and as vice president of the State Board of Higher Education.
Jill graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Business and earned her M.B.A. at George Washington University. She is most proud of her three adult children, Eddie, Emily and Jacob.
