Dramatic Vocal Arts to Perform Cosi Fan Tutte

The Dramatic Vocal Arts at Willamette University will present Mozart's comic opera Cosi Fan Tutte Friday, March 6, and Saturday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. in Smith Auditorium at Willamette. This fully-staged opera, sung in English with orchestral accompaniment, will be conducted by Grant Linsell and directed by Allison Swensen-Mitchell.

Willamette student vocalists will be joined by two alumni, soprano Michelle Mendoza (Suor Angelica, 2007), and tenor Joshua Lee (Die Fledermaus, 2008).

Cosi Fan Tutte, translated as "The School for Lovers" or "Thus Do All Women," centers around two young men who wage a bet their fiance will remain faithful to them no matter what the temptation. The production of the 18th century opera will be set in the early 1940s.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for students and are available at the Willamette Music Office or by phone at (503) 370-6255.
