Oregon Symphony Performs at Willamette

The Oregon Symphony will give a classical concert Tuesday, April 7, at 8 p.m. in Smith Auditorium at Willamette University.

Featuring conductor Hannu Lintu and pianist Horacio Gutiérrez, the symphony will perform Mozart's "Symphony No. 36," Rachmaninoff's "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini," Lindberg's "Feria" and Ravel's "Bolero."

Since 1955 the Oregon Symphony, based in Portland, has partnered with Willamette to bring the symphony's classical concerts to the Salem community. Pops concerts were added to the series in 1975. Today the Oregon Symphony in Salem presents a season of nine to ten concerts annually on the Willamette campus.
