Politics professor earns Fulbright Award to Czech Republic

Willamette University Politics Associate Professor David Gutterman has earned a prestigious Fulbright Award to the Czech Republic.

He will teach and research next fall in the Department of American Studies at Charles University in Prague. Gutterman’s focus will be advanced topics in American Politics and Political Culture. He also plans to teach courses on political dissent in the U.S., religion and American politics, and political narratives in 21st-century America.

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Fulbright Program provides highly competitive awards for students, scholars, teachers and professionals to undertake graduate study, advanced research, university teaching and teaching in elementary and secondary schools.
