Annual luau April 16 at Willamette
The Willamette University Hawai‘i Club presents the 22nd Annual Lu‘au on April 16 in Cone Field House at Sparks Athletic Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., followed by a show beginning at 7 p.m.
The theme of the event is “I Lōkahi Me He `Ohana,” or “We come together as one family.” Each year, the club strives to recreate a piece of home and share diverse Polynesian cultures with the Salem community.
Guests will enjoy freshly made Hawaiian food, music and dance performances from all over Polynesia as well as an opportunity to purchase products unique to Hawaii.
Tickets sales begin April 4 within Willamette’s Putnam University Center from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. and in Goudy Commons from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m on weekdays. Dinner and show tickets are $15; tickets for the show only are $10. Prices increase by $5 if purchased at the door. Children ages seven and under are free with adult.
With Willamette ID, advanced tickets for dinner and the show are $10 or $5 for the show only. Prices increase by $5 if purchased at the door.
