Atkinson professor won Fulbright to teach marketing in the Philippines

Elliot Maltz, who teaches marketing at the Atkinson Graduate School of Management, recently spent three weeks in the Philippines as the 2012-2013 Fubright-SyCip Distinguished Lecturer.

Maltz was invited to lecture at nine universities on a wide range of topics, including the strategic use of market information, corporate social responsibility, and entrepreneurship in subsistence markets.

While there, he discussed his ideas on corporate social responsibility with the U.S. State Department and the Philippine Stock Exchange. He also met with the visit sponsor Washington SyCip, founder of the largest accounting firm in the Philippines.

At Willamette, Maltz teaches courses in marketing strategy, supply chain management and sustainability management. He recently spent a sabbatical semester in Australia.
