"Pie with Pi Phi" is an annual fundraiser hosted by Pi Beta Phi, a female fraternity at Willamette. For the event, people bought pies to both eat and throw at "celebrity victims" in Jackson Plaza.
This year's victims included chemistry professor Karen Holman McFarlane, exercise science professor Luke Ettinger, theatre manager Andrew Toney, men's basketball coach Kip Ioane and Leslie Shevlin, head coach for men's and women's swimming. People also threw pies at members of the Panhellenic Council and the Inter fraternity Council.
Pi Beta Phi raised $1,500 from the event to fund book donations and after school literacy programs.
