Sparks Fitness Center

Houses over 35 pieces of cardio equipment, seven multipurpose free weight racks, rotational climbing wall, and a circuit training room. The space also has two multipurpose studios that feature additional equipment to meet all your workout needs.

Fitness Center Hours

  • Monday–Thursday: 6 a.m.–11 p.m.
  • Friday: 6 a.m.–9 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10 a.m.–9 p.m.

Wellness programs are abound in the fitness center. You can get a personal trainer, take a non-credit fitness class, complete a fitness challenge, or much more! Check out our programs here!

Wellness Program  Fitness Class

Sparks Fitness Center has three zones to engage in: Strength, Cardio, and Circuit Training. Each zone is described in more detail below. In addition, adjacent to the fitness center are two multipurpose rooms (MPRs) that can be reserved for groups. Each room has equipment, including stereo equipment, for all to use. All Wellness Program group fitness classes take place in the MPRs. Schedules for MPRs can be found just outside each door from the fitness center.

Strength Zone

Strength Zone

The strength zone in the fitness center centers on activities that focus on free weights, power and strength training. The space has 5 multi-station platforms, an additional 2 multi-use platforms, a plate loaded smith machine, preacher curl, calf raise, and leg press. There are 12 adjustable benches, dumbbells ranging from 10-120lbs, straight and V grip curl bars, and a 3-station cable crossover machine.

Cardio Zone

Cardio Zone

The cardio zone features 8 treadmills, 8 adaptive motion trainers, 7 ellipticals, 3 recumbent bikes, 2 upright bikes, and 1 climber. Each of these are fully integrated (access to cable, internet, and a full menu of preloaded workouts) Precor machines. In addition, there are 3 ergs, 2 Kaiser bikes, and a Stairmaster. The zone includes an ab/stretching area along with a compliment of physio balls to assist those workouts!

Circuit Zone

The circuit training zone is loaded with 16 pieces of selectorized Life Fitness machines designed to deliver a full body workout. In addition, the space has dumbbells, ranging from 2.5-65lbs, a 4-station cable machine, and 3 fully adjustable benches. Finally, the area also includes Life Fitness' new Synergy 360 machine, and an infinity rotational wall designed to provide you with space for a functional workout!
