AmeriCorps Students in Service

This is a part-time program offered through the Office of Community Service Learning. Students can volunteer through this program and earn education awards (scholarships) while in college. For complete information, visit

AmeriCorps VISTA

This AmeriCorps service program is focused specifically on fighting poverty. Members who join VISTA serve full-time for one year and receive a living allowance, healthcare benefits, childcare assistance, and student loan deferment during their service. Upon completion, members can choose to receive either a $4,725 education award or $1,200 stipend. For more information, visit

AmeriCorps NCCC

AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) is a full-time 10-month program for 18 to 24-year-olds. The program is residential, with members living on one of five campuses and participating in team-based community service. Members are provided with a living allowance, housing, meals, limited medical benefits and limited childcare assistance during their services. Upon completion, members receive a $4,725 education award.
