Take a Break (TaB) is a student-led alternative break program that places small groups of Willamette University students, staff, and faculty in communities across the Pacific Northwest to engage in community service and experiential learning.
Participant Applications will open in late October.
Examples of Past Trip Topics:
- Domestic Violence
- Food Deserts (Justice)
- Environmental Sustainability
How much does it cost?
This year's cost has not been determined yet, but last year's participants paid a trip fee of $175, which includes food, transportation, and housing for the duration of Spring break.
It is a value of the program to make sure that TaB is accessible to all students regardless of financial need, and scholarship options, payment plans and compensation options are available. All participants are expected to engage in fundraising activities.
