The Office of Human Resources announces the official launch of Cornerstone OnDemand Learning Management System. Cornerstone will be the single, central data repository for all learning that improves your ability to serve our students and the University.
What is Cornerstone?
Cornerstone is a key partner of Colleague, the University’s Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP). Our implementation of this system constitutes a move toward more efficiency and convenience in delivery of Human Resources services. Cornerstone has successfully helped universities and other employers improve compliance, develop competencies that support improved delivery of services, improve onboarding of new faculty and staff, and effectively record and report on the capabilities of its talent to stakeholders. We are excited about the potential of this new tool to improve the way Willamette University employees engage in development and training.
What you will find:
- In September, you will receive an email letting you know that annually required training has been assigned to you through Cornerstone.
- Cornerstone will also be accessible through your University logon, on the Student, Staff, and Faculty webpages, and on the HR Training & Development webpage.
- You will already have a transcript. Click on “My Learning” to see the required employee training you have already taken.
- If you are a supervisor, you can access your employee’s transcripts. Click on “My Team” to see what training your employees have received, or training that is required but hasn’t been received.
What else can I do with Cornerstone?
Develop and Deliver Training: Managers, committees, leaders, faculty, and any university stakeholder with knowledge or information that needs to be delivered either to specific or broad groups of employees will be able to develop and deliver training content through the system.
Record Training and Professional Development Received Off-Campus: If you have engaged in any kind of professional development, take credit for it! Record it in your Cornerstone dashboard and upload evidence of the credits you received for the program. Your supervisor must approve it and will require proof of having completed the program. If your job requires you to maintain continuing education credits, including licensure, this is THE way to communicate completion of these obligations to your supervisor and HR.
Communicate New Policies/Procedures: Departments with important policy or procedural communication needs can deliver new policy information through this system.
HR will provide information sessions . . .
To introduce you to Cornerstone, information sessions will be offered at 9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am, 2:00pm, 3:00pm, and 7:00 p.m. on August 5, 10, 21, and 27, in the HR Training Room, Executive Building.
