The Campus Sexual Violence Elimination (SaVE) Act was passed in March 2013 as part of the Violence Against Women Reauthorization (VAWA) Act. The Campus SaVE Act applies to almost all institutions of higher education since it is directed towards those who participate in financial aid programs under Title IX of the Higher Education Act of 1965.

Who is protected by VAWA?

VAWA has been expanded to include protection for gays, lesbians, and transgender individuals, as well as Native Americans and immigrants, as well as male victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.

Campus SaVE Act training is presented through our online learning management system.  You will receive an email when this training has been assigned to you.  Workday provides convenience and is comprehensive in its coverage of this difficult subject matter.  An opportunity to evaluate your understanding of the information engages your participation throughout the program.  Your successful completion of the program is reported to Human Resources electronically.
