Students meet with and learn from Chicago's leading social and artistic figures while gaining practical experience in the field of their choice. Interested students may also request independent studies tailored to their specific academic interests. Students live in furnished Chicago Center apartments with other program participants. Each household is given a charge account at the local grocery store and students manage the monthly budget together to provide food and other household items collectively. The Chicago program is available during either Fall or Spring semesters. The Fall semester begins in late August and ends early December; the Spring semester starts early February and ends mid May.
