bobrauschenbergamerica is a fantastical road trip through the American landscape, written as Robert Rauschenberg, one of America’s greatest living artists, might conceive it. Traveling easily through time, the play is a glorious collage of images and sensations—Rauschenberg’s childhood home, a human martini, a pizza delivery boy, the world’s worst collection of chicken jokes…

Hallie Ford Museum of Art Open, Hallie Ford Museum of Art, 700 State Street

There will be two exhibitions to enjoy at the Hallie Ford Museum, with complimentary admission. Come see Sherrie Wolf: Object Lessons, an exhibition of bowls of fruit and floral arrangements combined with Master themes. There will also be Stilleven: Contemporary Still Life, an exhibition featuring 27 contemporary artists from Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and British Columbia.

Family Weekend Check-In, Putnam University Center, 2nd Floor

Pick up a complete schedule of events, campus information and pre-purchased tickets. Tickets and shirts will be available for purchase at check-in.

Historic Downtown Salem Walking Tour, Leave from Hatfield Fountain at 4:30 p.m.

This is an opportunity to walk through downtown Salem on a lovely, fall afternoon! Join us for this walking tour and learn what Oregon's capital city has to offer.

7:30 p.m.
Jazz Night, Smith Auditorium (Doors open at 7 p.m.)

Don’t miss this opportunity to be amazed by the musical talents of Willamette’s student jazz musicians and vocalists, including the Willamette Singers and the Willamette Jazz Collective.

The Willamette Events Board will host an Open Mic Night for students and families. Come enjoy student performances!

Enjoy a delicious brunch served in Goudy Commons. There will be a variety of breakfast and lunch options available. Tickets are required for everyone attending, including any Willamette student without a board meal plan.

Mini-University Session 1

Get a taste of the academic life at Willamette by attending your choice of sessions presented by professors from a variety of departments. Mini university sessions are 50 minute long classes modeled after the classes students attend daily at Willamette. The wide variety of mini university classes give you a hands on experience of what it’s like to be a Willamette student, and to see what current and exciting subjects and inquiries Willamette students are immersed in. Women's Soccer Game , Sparks Field

The Women's Soccer team will be playing Pacific University. Come out and cheer for these Bearcats!

Hallie Ford Family Activity Day , Hallie Ford Museum of Art, 700 State Street

The Maribeth Collins Lobby and Melvin Henderson Rubio Gallery
Visit the "Stilleven: Contemporary Still Life" exhibition and be inspired. Then head to the lobby to participate in a variety of Family Activity Day activities that include still life art projects for children and their families. Admission is complimentary.

1:15 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Hike at Silver Falls State Park, The bus will depart from the Hatfield Fountain at 1:15 p.m., please arrive by 1:00 p.m. to check-in.

Hikers will embark on a guided hike of the Lower South Falls area. This will be an easy and slow-paced 2.2 mile hike with great views and photo opportunities. This hike will display the beauty and nature of the region! Capacity is 90, so get a ticket and reserve your space early before they're all gone!

There will be a $10 non-refundable fee to cover transportation and entrance costs.

We suggest wearing warm clothes, as well as layers and a raincoat. A water bottle is also recommended.

Family Weekend Concert, Smith Auditorium (Doors open at 6:30 p.m.)

Enjoy outstanding musical performances by Willamette students. The concert will feature the Wind Ensemble, University Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Choir, Voce Femminile (Women’s Choir), and Male Ensemble Willamette.

Featured Entertainment: Professional Comedian Sara Schaefer , Smith Auditorium (Tickets are available for purchase at check-in and at the door 30 minutes before the show, no reserved seats)

Sara Schaefer is a critically acclaimed stand up comedian, writer, and producer currently based in Los Angeles. She was recently the co-host of MTV’s late night show Nikki & Sara Live. Sara has appeared on @Midnight, John Oliver’s New York Stand Up Show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Best Week Ever, and Inside Amy Schumer. She won two Emmy awards for her work at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and has written for BestWeekEver.tv and Who Wants to Be A Millionaire.

Interdenominational Worship Service, Cone Chapel, Waller Hall, 2nd Floor
All are welcome to this service of worship led by the Rev. Karen Wood, University Chaplain. While interdenominational in scope, this service honors Willamette's relationship with the United Methodist Church and is in the style and spirit of progressive mainline Christianity.

Do you enjoy music? Want to hear three amazing a cappella groups on campus? Well, luckily, they will each perform a few songs during this concert. Come have a relaxing time during a beautiful part of the day and listen to some great music.
