Mid Year Orientation will take place January 15-17, 2016.

This schedule is not complete and is subject to change. The most current schedule will be available in students' orientation packets upon their arrival on campus.

Friday, January 15

8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Service Center Open, Doney Hall

If you’d like to get an early start to the day, stop by to get your ID card and room key. Not an early bird? No problem! You’ll have time to move in at 11:30 a.m. See below for more details.

Visit the Campus Reource table to learn more about the services available to you here at Willamette.

Settling In, Residence Halls
If you haven't already done so, start at the Service Center (in Doney Hall) to pick up your room key and get your ID card. Then, look for Move-In Crew members to help you carry your belongings to your new room. Use any remaining time to complete items on the Settling In Checklist, located in your orientation packet.

Learn about an essential resource at Willamette: The Learning Commons. (Session will occur during the second half of lunch).

Face-to-face Campus Tours, 1st floor of Putnam University Center

Groups will travel around campus to learn where things are and who goes where. Be sure to bring a copy of your academic schedule so the orientation leaders can help you find where your classes are located.

Meet students who have previously transferred to Willamette; Q&A Session.

Saturday, January 16

9:30 a.m.
Small Group Session and Breakfast, Montag Den

Meet with your leaders and mentors to get an overview of important information and have your questions answered.

Library Resources: In-Depth, Montag Den

Bring you laptop with you!

Bill Kelm from the Mark O. Hatfield Library will help configure and install WUPrint, Netfiles, and RefWorks.

11:00 p.m.
Salem Tour and Shopping Trip, Meet at the Hatfield Fountain

Need food, school supplies, or stuff for your room? Let current students show you all the best places to shop and hang out in Salem.

Sunday, January 17

Silver Falls Hike and Lunch , Meet at the Hatfield Fountain

Take advantage of this opportunity to meet current students, learn more about the Intramural and Campus Recreation programs, and participate in a fun hike suited for all ability levels. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a rain coat! Lunch provided.

5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Open for first contract meal. CHeck with your group leader to find out when and where you will meet for dinner.
