The Ohana student leadership team has designed a diverse group of activities to fill each day and build an "Ohana" that will provide you with a supportive community and an opportunity to be a part of past Ohana groups (over 100 current students). Each evening there will be options to join fun group activities. This schedule is subject to change.
Saturday, August 15
Registration and Check-in, Willamette Campus
Register, check-in and pickup any "last-minute" items needed. We will meet for Dinner - "Ohana-Style" (Your Families are encouraged to stay and attend) and depart for the 4-H Center. Activities include spending time getting to know your leaders and other Ohana participants.
Sunday, August 16
Portland Visit, Portland, Oregon
We take as short drive down I-5 to downtown Portland and explore the diversity of downtown in the "Big City." Sites will include the Portland Saturday Market with it's diversity of vendors and food and Powell's Bookstore--the largest book store in the world.
Monday, August 17
Willamette Tour, Willamette Campus and Downtown Salem
Ohana leaders will share about their experiences and you will have an opportunity to explore important resources and support services needed to navigate WU.
Tuesday, August 18

Explore Downtown Salem, Downtown Salem
We will take time to explore downtown Salem and enjoy a day of fun activities.
Cultural Issues Conversation, Willamette Campus
In the evening take part in "Cultural Issues" - a "real" conversation of what one might expect as a multicultural student and shared experiences on how to flourish during your time at WU.
