What is Willamette Math Circle?

Willamette Math Circle is created for students enrolled in High School Honors Geometry or higher level math who have an interest in delving deeper into mathematics with intriguing activities and math puzzles.

Willamette Math Circle brings mathematics educators and students together to explore interesting problems and topics in mathematics. The group engages in fun, hands-on problem solving to deepen their understanding of mathematics.

A strong interest in math and a willingness to try new ways of using your mind is required.

Willamette Math Circle is led by Willamette University mathematics professors, high school math teachers, and university students. Guest presenters will be invited to share their areas of expertise. Enrollment is limited to 12 students.

Please note: Willamette Math Circle is not a tutorial for students experiencing difficulty in high school math.

What is the cost?

Registration for eight weeks is $75. Scholarships are available. Contact Christine Speak for more information and to apply.
