- Available Student Funding from the Office of Student Affairs
The Robert E. Hawkinson Student Initiative Fund is named in honor of Bob Hawkinson, Dean Emeritus of Student Affairs, the fund is to support individual student and student group initiatives and to promote and reward student creativity and innovation. The M. Lee Pelton Endowed Fund for Civic Engagement supports important co-curricular service learning and outreach programs and student-initiated community partnerships. These valuable programs bring students closer to the community, further their sense of agency and civic responsibility, and allow for practical application of what they learn in class. Together, these funds support internships for CLA students; one with the governor's office and one with the state treasurer's office. Applications will be available through Handshake during Spring semester.
The Violence Prevention Grant Program is designed to help fund student projects that incorporate the prevention of interpersonal and sexual violence. Students or organizations may apply for up to $250.00 for projects that promote bystander intervention, or that help raise awareness of healthy relationships, boundaries. The Violence Prevention Grant Program is open to all current students of Willamette University, including CLA, Law, MBA, and ASP students.
