What is the Senior Fund Drive?

Senior giving is a tradition that dates back more than 100 years at Willamette. In previous years Seniors have raised money towards a single gift which was then presented to the University on behalf of the entire class. Gifts such as the Star Trees, the Memorial Rose Garden and works of art benefit current students and remind the campus community of the legacy of past classes.

The 2008 Senior Fund Drive is the senior giving program at Willamette. The mission of the Senior Fund Drive is to educate and involve the entire Senior class on the important role that alumni support plays in the day to day operation of the University and ask Seniors to support the things on campus they feel the strongest connection towards.

Why should I support the Senior Fund Drive?

As a member of the class of 2008, you have an exceptional opportunity to affect the future of Willamette University, as well as your own. By joining with fellow Seniors and supporting the programs, events and areas of campus that are most important to you, the University will not only be better off, but with your donation you will build a legacy that benefits all current and future Willamette alumni.

Broad support is key to the success of the Senior Fund Drive. Since matriculation you, the soon to be college graduate, have spent time on campus engaged in activities, programs and classes. With your donation to the University continue the legacy you’ve built and support the students who will follow after you. Help Athletics grow with a donation to the Bearcat Club Annual Fund, thank your favorite professor with a donation in their honor to the Faculty Support Fund, or support the CLA's areas of greatest need with a donation to the Willamette Fund.

Your gift is considered a vote of confidence in your alma mater. If every member of the class of 2008 supports Willamette, our 2007–2008 Alumni Participation would increase 3.26 percent! Alumni giving is an important factor that foundations, corporations and prospective students use to evaluate the institution.
