Admission Process
Program Description
Our new Special Education Endorsement Program consists of 38 quarter-hour, graduate-level credits, which are taken over 14 months (starting one summer and going through the following summer). The program is a cohort program, and there is an application process which should be completed by February 1 prior to the summer the educator wishes to begin the program.
The SPED program has 5 weeks scheduled in the first summer and 3 weeks scheduled in the final summer. The credits in this program are $225 per credit.
Admission Requirements
- A current Oregon teaching license
- A master's degree with at least a 3.0 GPA
- One copy of an official transcript from each institution where a degree was earned
- SPED application form
- Three SPED recommendation forms
- A personal statement of goals, with an explanation of why this endorsement is desired
