Well-crafted Future
Custom furniture and cabinet designers Todd Warmington and Julie North can tell when something is a good fit. They knew right away that their son, Carter ’06, would be happy at Willamette. “When we visited campus, Carter made a real connection with Willamette,” says North. “Everyone was so friendly and eager to say hello, and I think he really liked that.”...

Development: Parents Fund

A Willamette student on a bike Dear Willamette Parents & Grandparents,

On behalf of the Parents Advisory Council, let me wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season.

I always look forward to this time of year because it allows me to spend quality time with my daughter Lauren, who is a freshman at Willamette. Whether your child is coming home for their first winter break or is nearing the completion of their senior year, I urge you to talk about their Willamette experience with them. It is these conversations that assure me that Willamette is the perfect place for Lauren, and I hope the same is true for you and your student as well.

As we near the end of the calendar year, I encourage you to consider Willamette among your philanthropic priorities and join the Parents Leadership Circle giving society. As I write this note, we are only 37% towards our goal of $300,000. I hope that we can count on your gift to help us exceed our goal, and provide even more opportunities for our students.

One thing that I am very excited about has been the outpouring of support this year from Willamette Grandparents — if you are a Grandparent and have not been receiving University publications such as the Scene, the University Magazine, please let the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations know so that we can add you to our ‘extended family.’

Thank you in advance for your generosity, and happy holidays.

Sincerely,

Brian Gard (signature)
