Learn at the Center

The Oregon State Capitol grew up around Willamette University. Our students and graduates have always had a special connection to Oregon's state government and courts, helping them to prepare for careers as state, national, and global leaders.

Countless Willamette students cross the street from campus every day for opportunities at the State Capitol. They intern with policymakers, conduct primary source research in the Oregon State Archives, make law recommendations to the legislature or work side-by-side with the state’s top scientists and economists.

And, in return, countless policy-makers cross the street to Willamette's campus every day for talks, lectures, meetings, or just to grab a bit to eat!
