WITS Hardware
& Software Support Policy
(for University-owned equipment only)
This
policy applies only to computers and equipment owned by

WITS
supports the following brands of computer hardware (support
for hardware is defined as providing repair and maintenance,
connecting to the network, installing upgrades and charging
for parts only with no labor charges for computers owned
by the university):

printers
- Epson

All
other brands of computer hardware will incur any charges
for telephone calls made by WITS for vendor support, postage
and freight to ship, and parts and labor. In addition, WITS
will charge for software installation that requires extra
installation time due to incompatibility with non-supported
hardware.
WITS
will support any software required by Willamette administration,
staff, or faculty; however there will be some limitations
for departments that want workshops or in-depth consultation.
Support is defined as ordering, installing and assisting
in the use of software. Supported software includes:

WITS
provides limited support for the following software applications
that are still in use on campus. We recommend that departments
migrate to the software listed above, but we will assist
you to the best of our ability, subject to time and staffing
constraints.
