WITS
does not install Outlook Express on university-owned computers,
but it is still a good solution for many students and staff
who have a computer at home or in a residence hall. Outlook
Express usually comes pre-installed with Microsoft Windows.
It often comes installed on Macintosh computers as well. WITS
doesn't have as much experience with Outlook Express as we do
with Netscape Messenger, but we will still try to answer questions
about it to the best of our ability.
Like
Netscape Messenger, Outlook Express is a more robust email client
than Webmail. In addition to basic features such as sending
and receiving email messages and attachments, and maintaining
an address book, Outlook Express also allows multiple accounts
management, message filtering, viewing of Newsgroups, and automatic
address completion during message composition. Outlook Express's
performance will also be noticeably faster than Webmail, particularly
if you have a large number of email messages in your Inbox.
