	How to Save Pine Mail as a File in your Home Directory

TO SAVE A PINE MAIL MESSAGE AS A FILE ON THE HOME DIRECTORY

• Enter the Pine Mail environment.
• Either highlight the message you want to save in the Mail Index screen or display it in the Message Text screen.
• Type E for export message.
  • You will be prompted with "Copy message to file in home directory:"
• Type < filename >, then press <Enter> or <return>.
  • The file will be saved, unless a file by this name already exists. Then the following message is displayed: File "info" already exists. Overwrite or append it ?
    • Type A to append the message to the existing file.
    • Type O to overwrite the existing file.
    • Type ^C to exit your export request.

Additional Information

• To view names of files on your home directory, type ls, then press <Enter> or <return>at the system prompt.
• To view the contents of a file < filename > on your home directory, type more < filename > then press <Enter> or <return>at the system prompt.
• To remove a file < filename > from your home directory, type rm < filename > then press <Enter> or <return>at the system prompt.
