
Your
extension key is the bottom-most function key on the deskset.
VOLUME BAR
The horizontal bar at the bottom with arrows on each end
is the Volume Bar. Use this to control the volume of the
handset and the ringer. Raise the volume by pressing the
right side of the bar. Lower it by pressing the left side.
Volume can be controlled at any time. Ringer is controlled
while the phone is ringing.
RLS
You can terminate an active call by pressing RLS.
HOLD
By pressing HOLD, you can put an active call on hold.
Return to the caller by pressing your extension key.
MESSAGE WAITING LIGHT
The Message Waiting light turns on to indicate that a
message has been left for you in your voice mail box.
You can press the MESSAGE key to retrieve your message.

TRANSFER
This allows you to direct a call to another extension.
- Press
TRANSFER.
- Dial
the extension number and announce the call.
- Press
TRANSFER again (call transferred).
- Hang
up.
If
unable to transfer, press your extension key again.
CALL
PICK UP
Use this to answer a call at a specific extension.
- Lift
the handset.
- Press
CALL PICKUP.
- Dial
the extension number of the ringing phone.
FORWARD
Forward allows you to transfer all your calls so that
they ring at another extension. You cannot forward calls
while your telephone is ringing.
To forward all your calls
- DO
NOT LIFT HANDSET.
- Press
FORWARD.
- Dial
the extension number to forward to.
- Press
FORWARD again (forward icon appears).
To
cancel Forwarding
- DO
NOT LIFT HANDSET.
- Press
FORWARD (forward icon disappears).
RING
AGAIN
If you receive a busy signal when trying to reach someone
on campus, Ring Again automatically redials that number
and lets you know when that person is free.
To use Ring Again
- When
you hear a busy signal, press RING AGAIN.
- Replace
the handset.
- When
a number you want to reach is free, you hear the Ring
Again signal.
- Lift
the handset.
- Press
RING AGAIN to automatically dial the number.
To
cancel Ring Again
- Press
RING AGAIN before you hear the Ring Again signal.
SPEED
CALL
Speed Call allows you to dial frequently-called telephone
numbers using a brief code to represent the number. The
codes are 0 to 9.
To store a number
- DO
NOT LIFT HANDSET.
- Press
SPEED CALL.
- Enter
the code to be added to the Speed Call list (0 to 9).
- Dial
number to be stored.
- Press
SPEED CALL again.
To
make a Speed Call
- Lift
the handset..
- Press
SPEED CALL.
- Dial
the Speed Call code.
AUTO
DIAL
Auto Dial lets you dial a specific telephone number by
pressing a feature key. This key was installed only if
you had a spare button after installing all above features.
To store an Auto Dial number
- DO
NOT LIFT HANDSET.
- Press
Auto Dial key.
- Dial
number to be stored.
- Press
AUTO DIAL again.
To
use Auto Dial
- Lift
the handset.
- Press
AUTO DIAL. The stored number is dialed.
