Recycling Support: Guidelines

Office Paper (White Dumpsters)

Acceptable Unacceptable
Computer paper Non-water soluble adhesives: glues, tapes, pressure-sensitive labels
White paper: bond, letterhead, typing, copier, index cards Unbleached paper: cardboard, tablet backings, tan or brown paper or envelopes
Colored paper: pastels only Newspaper
Carbonless paper Magazines
Envelopes: with or without plastic windows Phonebooks
Coated paper: fax, brochure, advertisements Wax or plastic-coated paper: paper ream wrappers
File folders: manila or pastel, no labels Brightly colored paper: goldenrod, neons, deep tones
Direct mailings: opened and sorted, no adhesives Carbon paper
Food wrappings
Paper towels
Trash

Cardboard (Red Dumpsters)

Acceptable Unacceptable
Corrugated boxes with tape Wax-coated boxes
Brown paper bags (Toddy's bags are OK) Non-corrugated boxes: cereal boxes, soda and beer boxes
