Tim Cobb leads the university’s marketing, branding and communications efforts. Prior to Willamette, Cobb served as chief marketing officer and vice president of integrated communications at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
Cobb served as managing director of DHX Advertising, Inc., and oversaw the brand and marketing strategies for higher education clients such as Portland State University and Willamette’s Atkinson Graduate School of Management. Prior to DHX, Cobb led Staccato Creative Communications and helped create and implement brand strategies for such clients as U.S. Bank and Dr. Martens footwear as well as key initiatives for Oregon State University and Oregon Health Science University. Cobb’s background also includes senior positions as both a creative and account strategist with Young & Rubicam/New York, INS Advertising and the Oswego Group.
Cobb earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from Oregon State University and holds a Master of Management Science from Purdue University’s Krannet School of Business. He has served as president of both the Portland Advertising Federation and the Oregon Marketing Association.
