Bearcats Connect at Alumni Weekend
Alumni Weekend 2015 was a massive success! Check out the photo gallery (and even more on Facebook) for just a small snapshot of all the fun.

More than 600 alumni and their guests returned to campus last weekend for engaging sessions, special meals, awesome entertainment and the opportunity to celebrate the bonds we share as Bearcats. The spirit of camaraderie throughout the weekend - which featured more than 70 events - was palpable, and it wouldn't have been possible without the support of dedicated volunteers, including those who served on class reunion committees. Thanks to all who participated!

We want to hear from you! Whether you attended this year or not, we'd love your feedback! Help us improve our programming for next year by completing our short survey.

Vote Willamette! Save the date for Alumni Weekend 2016 (Sept. 22-25), which will feature special events centered on the elections, plus celebrations and reunions (including CLA classes ending in '1 and '6).

Blake Lepire As an intern for the British Baseball Federation, Blake Lepire '15, MBA'16 had an opportunity to apply his economics and business administration education to the growth of his love for baseball overseas. Lepire provided financial, marketing and accounting support to all 50 clubs throughout the United Kingdom. During his time in London, he was also able to lead data-analysis based projects that will contribute to the future growth of baseball in Great Britain.

“My internship with the British Baseball Federation was a dream come true,” says Lepire. “From a vocational perspective, it was an opportunity to combine my academic and personal passion in a way that I believe will position me well in the job market. From a personal perspective, I was exposed to a myriad of new cultures, which forced me to reflect my own, and ultimately helped me grow.”

Lepire’s internship will help him accomplish his dream of working in the baseball industry. “The skills that I learned during my time in London will certainly help me stand out from other applicants as I strive to take my passion from the field to the business world.

This is where you come in.

Willamette students need more internship opportunities. Plus, your place of business would benefit from the energy, intellectual curiosity and heart these students would bring. No internships at your workplace? Create one. It’s easy. We’ll show you how.

As alumni, we carry Willamette's motto, "Not unto ourselves alone are we born," everywhere we go. That's why when we donate our time as volunteers or make an annual gift in support of scholarships for deserving students, we're actively participating in our longstanding culture of philanthropy. Departments across campus and administrators in Waller Hall are able to build meaningful relationships with alumni, faculty and students by coordinating several philanthropy programs each year. These efforts help to keep the Willamette experience affordable for our bright and promising students.

Your contributions are significant and incredibly meaningful to all who are engaged as a part of our community. Thank you so much for your thoughtful participation and GO BEARCATS!
