Acosta’s class was part of a Mexican American Studies (MAS) curriculum adopted by the Tucson Unified School District.

A frequent speaker at conferences and schools across the country, Acosta founded the Acosta Latino Learning Partnership, a nonprofit committed to helping educators and education professionals create dynamic learning environments, pedagogy and curriculum that will inspire every student to thrive.
