The objective of the Science Collaborative Research Program (SCRP) is to provide selected undergraduate students the opportunity to work directly with faculty in the natural sciences on a nine-week summer research project. A $6,000 stipend is provided to participating students.
Past faculty participants include members from the Departments of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Exercise and Health Science, Physics, and Psychology. Funding for the program typically supports up to fourteen students and eight faculty members annually.
Students are expected to communicate their final research findings in an oral presentation at an in-house symposium, and a poster at an off-campus regional meeting of undergraduate research.
