Why Willamette?
I'm always so impressed by how much Willamette students care for one another and this place. As much as college is about discovering your own voice, Willamette students also uplift the voices around them.
Favorite High School or College Class or Subject?
My favorite college class was my first year seminar, History of Rock 'N Roll. While the subject matter didn't align with what I studied, I loved my final paper comparing the political lyricism of Bob Dylan and the Sex Pistols. It also gave me an excuse to listen to my favorite genre of music!
Something You Learned in College You Still Use?
While I may not use Economics or International Relations on a daily basis, the liberal arts classroom taught me how to communicate with other people and problem solve with an intersectional approach.
Memorable/Favorite High School or College Co- Curricular Activity
As editor-in-chief of my high school's yearbook, I could discuss graphic design and journalism all day!
Proudest Accomplishment to Date
Every student of mine who finds their best college choice is a great accomplishment to me. I know that my own undergraduate experience was transformative, and I am incredibly fortunate to help other people find the place they will flourish.
