About your Admission Counselor
Favorite Things About Willamette:
The people. You feel an immediate connection to the community, and even when you think you're on a first-name basis with everyone, you still meet someone new each day.
Favorite Subject in College:
I use my sociology degree every day. While many of the classes were fascinating, and professors inspiring, the most impactful was definitely the course I took on crime, justice, and public policy that was held at the state penitentiary. Discussing these issues alongside 15 inmates of a maximum security prison is an experience I will never forget.
"Swing your swing. Not some idea of a swing. Not a swing you saw on TV. Not that swing you wish you had. No, swing your swing. Capable of greatness. Prized only by you. Perfect in its imperfection. Swing your swing. I know, I did." --Arnold Palmer
Advice About the Admission Process:
Be you. Don't try to be the person you think colleges want you to be. You are building your personal brand, and four years from now that brand will be one of your biggest assets. Be you, and you will find a place where you can truly thrive.
