CCM Major Internship Program

Through work experience, faculty mentorship, and alumni connections, our internship program helps students build strong career paths in communication and media.

Experience, Mentorship & Connections

Sophomores, juniors and seniors majoring in Civic Communication and Media have the opportunity to enroll in CCM 394: Internship.

The CCM Internship Program is led by Dr. Courtney Dillard, who works with students to acquire local internships focused on communication and media work.

To help students develop career paths in the non-profit, government, and private sectors, Professor Dillard also oversees internships throughout the semester, provides mentorship, and leads weekly internship class sessions, including meetings with recent alumni who work in communication professions.

CCM majors interested in participating in the internship program should contact Professor Dillard the semester prior to their internship to work with her to secure a placement.
