Willamette University boasts one of the most historic Intramural programs in the country. Unlike the evolutionary process of most colleges and universities, Willamette began intercollegiate athletics prior to an intramural program. Currently, Willamette Intramurals offers 6 leagues (outdoor soccer, indoor volleyball, flag football, 3v3 basketball, 5v5 basketball, grass volleyball), 2 mini leagues (indoor soccer, kickball), and many tournaments (tennis, paper football, NCAA men's/women's march madness bracket challenge, badminton, dodgeball, ping pong, mushball, and NCAA football college pick 'em, racquetball, and more!).
The intramural sports program at Willamette gives all students, faculty and staff the opportunity to compete in popular sports while providing a positive, sporting atmosphere. Get a team together with friends, classmates, professors, or university administrators. Individual and team winners win the infamous intramural champion T-shirt.
Our intramural staff of sports officials and supervisors are 100% Willamette students. We work together to train our staff to be knowledgeable and professional while they are scheduling, managing and officiating leagues and tournaments. Check our employment opportunities page to learn more about positions with our program.
To join Intramurals, you must join IMLeagues. IMLeagues is an online social network that connects you to the sports that you play.

Sportsmanship is a hallmark of Intramural Sports at Willamette. For each sport, team sportsmanship ratings are assessed after every game. In order for a team to be eligible for the playoffs, that team must maintain a 6.5 sportsmanship rating.
