Bearcat Scavenger Hunt

Follow the signs throughout campus, document your findings, and submit proof of completion (a photo of the last clue and two of your other favorite stops) to student-engagement-group@willamette.edu by 4 p.m. on Friday, May 13 to be entered to win a Willamette diploma frame. Drawing will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 13 and winner will be notified on Saturday, May 14.

Here is your first clue: Check where new Bearcats might first decide.

Wednesday, May 11

1:30–4:30 p.m.
Hike, Silver Falls State Park, South Falls Lodge Trailhead, Silver Falls Hwy SE, Silverton, 97381

Before you depart Salem be sure to complete a bucket list item: hiking the Silver Falls State Park Ten Waterfalls Loop Trail. The Outdoor Program Staff will meet participants at the trailhead with snacks and water at 1:30 p.m. The trail can be a 2.6, 5, or 7.2 mile loop, depending on your energy and interest. Our leaders will be there to support your experience. If you want to hike with our leaders you must be there at 1:30 p.m. Or, if you wish to hike on your own or with your friends, you can arrive whenever you wish.

Cost for Parking: $5 (if not riding in a University van). Seats are limited (12) and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Request your seat. Vans depart from the Chicken Fountain at 12:30 p.m.

Please be prepared while hiking. Make sure you have the necessary layers to support your experience rain or shine. Bring proper footwear as the trails may be slippery. Bring additional food and water.

The Sparks Facility will be open to graduating seniors to release some stress and have fun. We plan to have activities happening at Sparks Field, Henkle Gym, Multipurpose Room, and the Fitness Center. Possible activities will include: Dance Dance Revolution, spikeball, cornhole, badminton, volleyball, open swim, basketball, soccer, Cardio & weight room. Come and enjoy the Sparks Facility prior to graduation!
