Biography
Hometown:Portland, OR
Undergraduate Degree: B.A. International Business
Stephanie is a second-year MBA candidate. She grew up in Salem, OR (just down the road from campus!), and currently resides in Portland, OR with her fiancé and one-eared cat. She graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Business and a minor in Spanish Language. After working with the Donor Relations team while at UPS, she entered into the world of non-profit fundraising, and worked for two Oregon-based non-profits, SOLVE and SMART Reading.
Stephanie chose to return to the classroom to not only advance her career, but to gain a broader understanding of the for-profit and public sectors through experiential and integrated learning. She spent the summer as a Solution Owner Intern at Slalom Build, which really highlighted her love for project management. Stephanie is the President of the Atkinson Student Association and a Peer Career Advisor. When not at school, she is probably spending time outdoors or attempting to master a new recipe.
Why Willamette:
"From the moment I first connected with a student ambassador, to my interview, to my class visit, I knew Willamette was special. I knew I wanted a program that would complement my experience in the non-profit sector, while also preparing me to make career moves that I wouldn’t have been able to do before. I feel extremely lucky to be at Willamette and know that my time here will only benefit me in the future."
