Biography

Colin joined the faculty at Willamette University’s Atkinson Graduate School of Management in fall semester 2022 after completing his PhD in Sociology at Duke University.

His research primarily investigates how entrepreneurial ventures build and leverage legitimacy and how modern corporations respond to institutional pressures to maximize shareholder value. He studies employee-owned companies, corporate myopia, and earnings management. Colin teaches classes on new venture formation, organization theory, and management.

He worked in the banking and finance sector prior to his doctoral studies.
