WITS Help Desk and equipment service changes

WITS has consolidated two Help Desk locations and is making some equipment available for pickup only

Starting this academic year, WITS is making some changes to the services we provide to the campus community through the Help Desk. These changes will help us reduce our budget while still offering the same checkout equipment and high level of service that you are used to.

To achieve this, WITS has consolidated the two Help Desk locations (Law Library and Smullin Hall) into a single location in Smullin to make the best use of our collective resources. The Help Desk is available to help students, staff and faculty with any needs in person, by phone (x6767), or by email at wits@willamette.edu.

The Law Library Help Desk will remain open during the week of Aug. 21 to assist new and returning law students.

In addition, equipment that doesn’t require extensive setup will now be available for checkout/in, in lieu of delivery, at the Help Desk. The Help Desk can offer instructions and information about the equipment, but won’t be able to deliver all small and easy-to-use items. Our resources are focused on making assistance available at the Help Desk and setting up the larger or more complex equipment in our checkout inventory.
