Willamette MBA program among top in the country for sending grads into high-paying fields

by Marketing and Communications,

Willamette’s MBA program ranks among the top in the country when it comes to sending graduates on to work in high-paying fields, according to U.S. News & World Report.

U.S. News recently ranked the top 30 business schools whose graduates go on to work in the most lucrative fields, and Willamette joined the likes of Columbia and Stanford on the list of schools with the most 2021 graduates who now work in lucrative positions in finance and general management.

“We’ve always known our MBA program is among the very best in the country,” said Orn Bodvarsson, dean of the Atkinson Graduate School of Management. “The number of our graduates who go on to successful and well-paying careers in these fields is a testament to their hard work and to the rigorous practical and experiential training we provide at Willamette. When they graduate, they are well positioned to go on to the top of their fields and that is what they do.”

Willamette’s MBA program provides students with practical training beginning in their first year with real consulting projects through the year-long Practical Applications for Careers and Enterprises course (PACE). In their second year, students are empowered to make real managerial decisions with real money and real organizations through Willamette’s unique experiential programs.

MBA students regularly land competitive internships and jobs in the region’s best and biggest firms.

“Our focus on career readiness and experiential learning really sets Willamette’s MBA program apart,” said Mandy Devereux, executive director of career initiatives. “Clearly, it’s paying off for our graduates as they build successful careers after they leave us.”
